Temporary Staffing System

Temporary staffing is an employment system consisting of three parties: a dispatched worker, a client company, and a dispatching company (a Persol Group company).
A dispatched worker signs an employment contract with his/her dispatching company and receives work instructions from his/her client company.
Salaries are paid by the employer, the companies of Persol Group.
An employment relationship is not established only by registration, but when an employment contract is concluded and work at a client company begins.
After the expiration of the term of contract between client company and companies of Persol Group, the employment contract will be terminated.

Identity Verification

Identification is required for registration.
If you have not completed the uploading of your registration information, please present your documents to our recruiter during the registration interview.

  • If you register by phone or online, we will provide instructions for document submission and confirmation separately.

What are the identification documents?

A document issued by a public institution that shows the registrant's name and date of birth (original copy within the validity period or within 3 months from the date of issue).

Example

Driver's license, passport, health insurance card, basic resident register card with photo, "My Number Card" (Japanese individual number card)

  • Residence card is required for foreign nationals.

Submission of Written Pledge

Upon commencement of assignment, a "Written pledge" must be submitted.
In addition, once a year, staff members on assignment are required to confirm and pledge the contents of the agreement with the latest version of the "Written Pledge".
The written pledge form is available on the MY Page.

Dispatching Day Workers

In accordance with the Worker Dispatch Law, only those workers falling under either of the following conditions 1. to 4. can be dispatched for work on a fixed term not exceeding 30 days or work not requiring experience and for less than 20 hours per week.

  • 60 years of age or over
  • Full-time students (of schools as specified in the School Education Act, including specialized training colleges/miscellaneous category schools) who do NOT fall under any of the following conditions 1. to 5.
    • Scheduled to graduate from the school, currently employed, and will continue to be employed by the current employer after graduation
    • On a leave of absence
    • Enrolled in an evening high school
    • Enrolled in the school with a continuing employment relationship with a company
    • Enrolled in schools that do not require a certain number of days of attendance to complete a course of study, and can work in the same manner as regular workers
  • Have an annual income of at least 5 million yen from main job and accept an assignment as a side job
  • Secondary earners of family, and the household's annual income is at least 500 million yen (own income is less than 50% of the household's income)

You will be asked to provide a written document as follows: for the condition ii., student ID card; for the condition iii., proof of income; and for the condition iv., written proof showing the status of being a member of a family that shares the same income and living.
If you are unable to prepare the required document in time or if you register without visiting our office, you will be asked to submit your document at a later date.

Equal Pay for Equal Work

Commuting expenses

Persol Group companies will provide an allowance for commuting between the registered address and the place of employment in accordance with the rules of each group company.

Half-day leaves

Half-day paid leaves are available.

Congratulatory or condolatory leave/money

Staff who have worked with the company for at least three years are eligible for congratulatory or condolatory leave and money.

Enrollment in Social Insurance

Enrollment in social insurance is mandatory for assignments that meet the requirements for enrollment.

Employees' Health insurance and Employees' Pension Insurance

If your scheduled working hours are 20 hours or more per week and your contract is expected to last at least two months, you will be required to enroll in the program.

  • However, if your scheduled weekly working hours are 20 hours or more but less than 30 hours, you are not eligible for enrollment if any of the following conditions apply:
    ・Your monthly wage is less than 88,000 yen; or
    ・You are a full-time student.

Employment insurance

If your scheduled working hours are 20 hours or more per week and your contract is expected to last 31 days or more, you will be required to enroll in the program.

  • Full-time students are exempted.

Workplace Visit (Shokuba Kengaku)

Many of the client companies accept a workplace visit to be arranged upon request. Our recruiter will be happy to provide you with more details.
